  Amazing experience at Bali Swell Surf School! I went surfing for two days at Padang Padang beach. As a beginner, I managed in just two days to switch to a smaller board – a great challenge. But none of this would have been possible without the help of NISKAR, an incredible person who teaches you about beach safety measures and surfing technique, while also being super friendly and making you feel completely safe with him!

  We had three days of 2:1 classes with Head Coach Niskar at Padang Padang beach. Niskar was friendly and relaxed, and explained things clearly and simply. We progressed quickly and had fun, both in the water and out of it hanging with Niskar and his friends. Highly recommended for building a strong surf foundation + some laughter and good times. Would like to come back again!

  Booked private 2 hour lesson and instructor who was unfocused. Walked away while I was practicing my pop ups on land which I needed a lot of feedback for, spent a lot of time doing his own surfing or instructing other surfers in the water, and I never seemed to be able to find him when paddling back out. I’ve taken a few lessons before and the safety instruction is definitely missing important info (eg how to fall safely), and I was hit by another surfer during my lesson and also hit another surfer after being pushed. Overall, thought the instructor was rude in the way he spoke to me and how he taught.

  We had a great time at a one-off surf lesson with Hank! We did a quick run through of skills on the beach, and then spent two hours in the water. It was great to be able to focus on technique and standing up, with Hank expertly choosing the good waves, giving a helpful push, and giving feedback to improve too. Morning well spent!
