  I took 6 surf lessons with Meninas, and honestly… I’ve never had an experience like this before! Each session starts with stretching, followed by about 30 minutes of practice on the sand. You really learn the proper techniques to stand up, turn, and improve, and it makes all the difference once you’re in the water. The instructors are extremely professional, attentive, and always make sure you’re progressing and giving your best. Then we spend a full 2 hours in the water. The coaches build your confidence, support you between each wave, and sometimes a second instructor even joins us in the water to coach us while we’re riding waves, which is incredibly helpful! All the sessions are filmed, and after each one, we watch the footage together to see what can be improved. It’s a huge plus for progressing quickly. A huge thank you to Zuqueto for his outstanding lessons, professionalism, and incredible advice that helped me improve like never before. Also, a big thanks to Lucas (“amigitooooooo”) who makes you feel completely at ease in the water, helps you on every wave, and shares great tips, we want “pizza con pepperoni por favor”! The whole team is amazing, and Jane is absolutely lovely. Thank you all again, I’m leaving with so much more confidence and stars in my eyes ✨

  I spent 6 days surfing with this school and absolutely loved it! Every day we went to Engenhoca Beach (south of Intercarré), took a small hike down to the Beach, and started with a good warm-up. I especially liked that the coaches tailored the exercises to our individual needs and goals – it really helped me progress and improve specific aspects of my surfing. We spent about two hours in the water each day – intense but so much fun! The coaches paid great attention to everyone, gave useful feedback, and made sure we caught plenty of waves. Afterwards, we had some time to relax on the beach, grab some food (Açai or Tapioca – perfect post-surf snacks!), and then head back to Itacare. One of the highlights was the video analysis sessions afterwards. Zuqueto did an amazing job showing where we improved and what to focus on next. It was so motivating and helpful to see the progress on video. I can highly recommend this surf school, especially for intermediate surfers who really want to take their surfing to the next level. A fantastic experience all around! 🌊🏄‍♀️

  I have quite some experiences with different surf schools and teachers and this one is just absolutely outstanding!! The teachers are amazing, very knowledgeable and do individualized beach practice as well as such helpful support in the water. I learned a lot of things no one has taught me before that helped me so much on my surfing journey. They are reliable, professional and I cannot recommend that school more. On top, the teachers and owners are such lovely people. We went daily with a van to a really nice beginner/intermediate spot and spent 2 hours in the water. The video analysis after the class is just absolutely helpful and amazing. Thank you so much for offering such incredible teaching, I hope you never stop, so I can always come back and improve more :)

  Absolutely incredible surf school in Itacaré — the best! Fantastic instructors dedicated to student progression, with students divided into groups every day that focus on techniques adjusted to their skill levels. I highly recommend the 5-day course if you have the time; this school can also book up (for good reason!) so try to reserve ahead of time. The surf school is also wonderfully intensive — meet in Itacaré, shuttle to the beach, short hike (if the conditions are best at Engenhoca), stretching and a pre-surf workout, surfing, delicious time for açaí bowls or tapioca afterwards, hike back to the shuttle, and then video analysis in Itacaré. The video analysis and progressive approach to student skills were so helpful. Also the instructors — Jane, Zuqueto, Rafa, Luka, & Zaina (with Vinnie doing videography) were wonderful. Great people and a great time!! Thank you!!!
