  This is a really special place. The Lodge has three levels with private and dorm rooms. The best part is everyone hangs out in the living room and kitchen when you’re not sleeping or at the beach. We were all really good friends by the end of my stay. It makes the whole experience feel much more special than your typical hostel. Claire and Duncan are great people who love sharing peniche’s beaches and waves with visitors. I would highly recommend this surf lodge for anyone who wants to get in the water every day and meet cool people.

  I originally booked 4 nights… and somehow ended up staying for 5 weeks. I think that says it all. ❤️ This place quickly felt like a home away from home. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, the staff are genuinely kind, and everything is kept incredibly clean. I slept better here than I have in ages, which made every morning surf so much easier. The surf was absolutely amazing, with great waves and such a fun vibe in and out of the water. Whether you’re coming for a few days or a longer stay, don’t be surprised if you keep extending your trip like I did. Thank you for making this such a special place. I’ll definitely be back!

  We came as family of four, with two kids (ages 15 and 10). None of us knew how to surf. Everything, from superb accommodation, till great lessons was absolutely fantastic. The Hall family is warm, passionate about surfing, with lots of knowledge. The accommodation was maybe the best we've ever been in, newly redecorated, spacious, clean... Every detail, from toast, jam and fruits in the refrigerator, till snacks and water packed for the beach, photos taken, lessons and tips & tricks for local restaurant and groceries, was fantastic. And, most important, all of us managed to stand on the board more than once, so great teaching as well. :-) Thank you for everything!

  Loved it so much, Claire, Duncan and Dane were incredible - very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure everyone had a good time. I kept extending and didn’t want to leave (kept coming back) !! Lodge was always clean and I made incredible friends, felt like a family 🌟🌟 Unmissable spot and can’t wait to come back - thank you to Claire and all the family for everything! Great lessons, people and atmosphere
