What surfers are saying

We came from Buckeye to enjoy a day at Revel Surf for our 16 year old son’s 3rd Angelversary. He left us 25 July 2023. We thought it would be quiet on a Monday and doing a sunset beach pass would be a little bit cooler temp wise. It was so quiet and not too many people there. Absolutely beautiful skies over the prettiest venue. We enjoyed it so much. We weren’t able to eat at the restaurant because they were closing at 8pm and sent us away at 7:30pm. Not a problem, we always eat at Joe’s Farm Grill when we’re on the east side anyway. We will definitely be back sometime in the future to enjoy more of this venue. Such a cool, little spot to unwind and enjoy the beach.

Revel surf is an awesome place!!. The set up is all time perfect. You have a stationary river wave which is great for beginners and really learning to make your turns on the wave. Then the big lagoon is great for established surfers and has a great A-frame wave peeling right and left. But the coolest thing is that it is set up like a real resort style beach. People can get in the water and splash around unlike most surf parks. I really enjoyed the river wave for the actual time on the water and time surfing. This guys did a really great job at making this one of the coolest places to be in Phoenix.

Super family fun place. We spent the entire day here from 11:00am - 4:00pm. The restaurant was cool to eat at with a view to the wave pool. Easy parking and food trucks outside of the establishment to eat at. Cabanas and surf boards available to rent. Lots of development happening around it, which should be good for future business. Definitely a solid 9.8 / 10 to must visit in AZ.

I rented a luxury cabana for my birthday and invited 10+ friends for family friendly fun. Overall, it was a great experience and everyone had a great time. The cabana was very nice! It had a fan with misters which made it feel really nice despite it being +100°F that day. The food and the drinks were good and everyone was friendly. However, there were a few negatives: 1. Our server was VERY slow getting orders placed and fulfilled. Often times, my guests ended up leaving the Cabana and going to the bar/restaurants themselves just to get quicker service. 2. Several of my friends are sand volleyball players so we were very excited to play on the court however, the sand was EXTREMELY hot! There was no shading nor did they have a sprinkler system in place to cool the sand (as you see in other sand volleyball courts). Additionally, the surrounding turf was even hotter! So much so, that I basically burned the bottom of my feet while stepping on it to escape the heat from the sand. 3. The wave pool (overall) is nice however, the material they used to coat the bottom was clearly incompatible. Several areas had significant peeling and overall did not look aesthetically pleasing. While these things had a more significant impact on some of my guests, overall, I thought the experience deserves the 4 out of 5 stars I have provided. I will be certainly going back again however, I do hope they make significant improvements to the wave pool surface. Also, special shout out to Adrian Cherry! He helped me tremendously with my reservation. And honestly, had it not been for his great customer service and willingness to answer all of my questions, I would have likely not booked a cabana and had my birthday party at Revel Surf Park. Thanks Adrian!
